I am so blessed to have this opportunity to ride across the United States to support the American Lung Association. My employer Fairview and colleagues at UMMC have been so generous in supporting me as I prepare for the BIG RIDE. My colleague Jessica shared her encouragement with me by writing me the following poem. Enjoy!

What is the BIG RIDE? The 2010 Big Ride Across America is a fund raising bicycle ride leaving Seattle on June 21st and arriving in Washington D.C. on August 7th. These heroic cyclists, with your financial support, will pedal 3,300 miles in 48 days averaging more than 83 miles per day while each raising a minimum of $6,000 for the vital programs and research of the American Lung Association® in Washington.
