ReplyDeleteI hope as you travel by bike across this amazing country you will feel what Alain de Botton describes in The Art of Travel: "...let my bare feet slip out of my shoes to caress the grass, and how this direct contact with the earth had brought with it a sense of freedom and expansiveness...". I think bicycle touring has that same effect.... you are much closer to the earth, really "barefoot" as you explore the country and its people. hugs and love to you! eva
